Overview
Dr Siviwe Mpateni attended Stellenbosch University where he earned his MBChB degree in 2011. Following his internship and community service in the Eastern Cape, he gained experience in various private hospitals in Cape Town and Johannesburg, working as general practitioner and in emergency medicine.
In 2017, he enrolled as a registrar at Livingstone Hospital in Gqeberha before transferring to Tygerberg in 2020. He obtained his radiology qualification in 2025.
Dr Mpateni has been accepted for a Fellowship in Interventional Radiology in Toronto in 2026.
Life interests
Siviwe enjoys spending time with his family and is an enthusiastic road and trail runner.
