It is with great excitement that SCP Radiology introduces the Tygervalley Mammography Centre. This is a dedicated imaging centre focused on women’s health and the detection of breast cancer.
 
Purpose-built by SCP, the centre’s elegant design and furnishings create a welcoming space where women who may be feeling anxious and vulnerable can experience the reassurance of compassionate and expert care.

Branch Manager Dr Salomine Theron explains the need for a specialist centre for women. She says that women might be more willing to get screened if they could avoid a hospital setting. “Some women might feel more comfortable in an elegant environment with only female patients attending, and only for mammography, bone densitometry and ultrasound.”

Services at Tygervalley Mammography Centre

The centre has the modalities required for a dedicated, one-stop imaging service. These services include mammography, ultrasound, ultrasound-guided breast biopsy, as well as bone densitometry.

SCP had the pleasure of welcoming invited guests to the official launch this month. It also had the privilege of providing screening services to the centre’s first patients.
 
Located at the corner of Sportica Crescent and Bill Bezuidenhout Avenue, Bellville, the Tygervalley Mammography Centre operates from 08:00 to 17:30 every weekday.
