SCP Radiology and Worcester Radiology amalgamate

SCP Radiology is excited to announce that it has amalgamated with Worcester Radiology effective 1 July 2021.

According to Dr Jean de Villiers of SCP Radiology, “We began discussions with Worcester Radiology about a year ago, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic the amalgamation was delayed. The teams from both practices have, over a period of a year, worked tremendously well together to ensure that the amalgamation goes ahead with minimal disruption to our patients, referring physicians, staff and valued stakeholders.”

He adds, “The amalgamation with Worcester Radiology is based on shared values which include service excellence, patient-centred care, a progressive ethos, promotion of teamwork and engagement with our community. Both our practices strive to meet, manage and exceed the diagnostic and clinical imaging needs of our referring healthcare professionals, through the combined actions of our skilled and competent members of staff.”

While the two practices are officially amalgamated, there will be a transitionary period with reference to centralising administration and IT services.

As a result of the amalgamation SCP Radiology will now operate at 4 additional branches bringing the number of branches at which the practice operates to a total of 16. A dedicated team of 28 radiologists, supported by 280 staff members, will provide diagnostic imaging services at these branches.
