EDiNR: SCP radiologists obtain coveted qualification
Congratulations to two SCP radiologists who have obtained the coveted European Diploma in Neuroradiology (EDiNR) – an additional qualification of excellence that is recognised worldwide and pursued by radiologists from across the globe.
Drs Salomine Theron and Anne-Marie du Plessis completed two years of study which included four separate modules by the European Society of Neuroradiology and culminated in a final written and oral exam by the European Board of Neuroradiology.
Dr Theron says that, as radiologists, they firmly believe in life-long learning and simply couldn’t refuse when the opportunity presented itself to complete the modules online.
“The experience and knowledge garnered by their qualification will further add to our neuroradiology subspecialist reporting pool,” says Dr Jean de Villiers, managing partner of SCP Radiology.
“What’s more, is that they started the qualification during the Covid period, and completed all modules and the subsequent exam while working full time in the practice,“ he adds. “We are exceptionally proud of our colleagues.”
Hearty congratulations to the both of them, from all partners and staff at SCP.
Mammography qualification
SCP Radiology also congratulates six of its radiographers who have taken their mammography exams on 8 November and recorded a 100% pass rate and three distinctions between them.
We wish Simoné Boehme, Aadela Agherdien, Adriana Cordier, Javone Jantjies, Jessica du Plessis and Robynne Morar success in this new chapter in their careers, where they will join the existing teams of mammographers within SCP in providing breast cancer screening in ten locations across the Western Cape.
